Precision Upper Cervical adjusting is a little known chiropractic procedure that can relieve or completely eliminate hundreds of different kinds of conditions by correcting the position of the top vertebrae of the spine, the Atlas.  The atlas procedure is very gentle, with a very light tap to the side of the neck.  Here are only a few of the conditions that have often responded to this type of health care:

Migraines Numbness/tingling/pain in limbs
Headaches Herniated disks
Knee & foot pain Sciatica
Scoliosis Childhood developmental problems
Chronic Fatigue Certain forms of epilepsy & arthritis
Fibromyalgia Trigeminal Neuralgia
Loss of range of motion Sleeping disorders
Problems resulting from car/sporting/slip & fall accidents

The atlas is a single, two-ounce doughnut-shaped vertebrae at the top of the spine. Because of its close proximity to the brain stem, if it has moved out of position even a fraction of a degree, two very serious things can happen: 1) improper/restricted nerve flow, and 2) misalignment/imbalance of the body. Because the atlas is the top bone of the spine, if it rotated out of position, it can twist your entire spinal structure, including the pelvis so that your whole body is off balance.

Not having your atlas corrected to restore body balance is like continuing to drive a car that is misaligned. Over time everything is going to break down. You can keep replacing the tires, but unless you have the car aligned, you'll just be wasting your money. The same thing is true for headaches or hundreds of other conditions. You can keep taking medication, but if your atlas is out of its proper position and causing the problem, it's not going away until you get it corrected.

The Atlas Orthogonal (AO) chiropractor is NOT interested in having you in their office 3 times a week for the rest of your life.   Their commitment is to stabilize the position of your spine, move you from crisis care into recovery with as FEW adjustments as possible. Some people may require multiple corrections before the atlas holds its proper position. In one severe case, the patient was so seriously ill (having had polio as a child and then Fibromyalgia as an adult) that the atlas had to be corrected 2 times a week for several months, then twice a month for two years. But such care allowed the patient to be out of bed and able to work again, with the pain lessening every month. The third year the patient had only to be adjusted once a month, and now goes as long as once every other month. Some have held their correction for a year at a time. Others require only one or two corrections and rarely need another one. Everyone is different. The number of corrections you will need will depend upon how long you've had the condition and how serious it is. The Atlas Orthogonal ( AO ) chiropractor will teach you how to read your body so that you can determine for yourself how frequently you need to see them.   They want you to learn more about your own body so that YOU are the one in charge of your health.

We are finding that many conditions can be eliminated or corrected to some degree once a person gets their atlas repositioned. However, too many of us wait too long, mainly due to ignorance of the vital role the atlas plays in the health of the entire body. Hundreds of problems could be avoided  entirely if parents were informed about this type of health care. It is so fundamental to health, that everyone from children to grandparents needs to be informed and get their atlases examined now.
